Over the last few years Remembrance Dancing has been introduced to the care staff and volunteers of half of the Danish municipalities.
So far more than 500 Remembrance Dance instructors have been trained so far in Denmark.
Over two days care staff and volunteers are taught how to stimulate persons with dementia using ballroom dancing / dance classes to suitable music from their younger years.
I have participated as a co-instructor and am proud to join this new activity giving people with dementia, their relatives and the staff so much joy.
